- Carequality has opened up applications to its Steering Committee, which will head efforts to develop large-scale health IT interoperability solutions.
According to a public statement, the organization is looking for industry stakeholders who can manage Carequality’s work, including supervising initial implementers of Carequality’s interoperability framework, adopting use cases, and guiding decisions regarding the interoperability framework.
“The Carequality Interoperability Framework is now in the operational stage,” said Dave Cassel, director of Carequality, in the statement. “The Steering Committee’s priority is oversight of this first-of-its-kind production exchange of network-to-network connections under a common trusted agreement.”
The Steering Committee is comprised of 14 industry members, including vendors, provider organizations, networks, payers, and individuals providing patient perspectives. During this application period there are seven committee seats available, as appointees are added on an alternative basis.
New members will serve starting this September lasting until September 2018.
Applications are available now and will close on July 29, 2016.
